'Super Blood Wolf Moon' lunar eclipse

  • A "Super Wolf Blood Moon" is set to delight viewers from the Americas, Europe, and most of Africa on the evening of Jan. 20.
    A shallow total eclipse will see the Moon in relative darkness for 1 hour and 2 minutes.
    The Moon will be 20% of its diameter into the Earth's umbral shadow and should be significantly darkened. The partial eclipse will last for 3 hours and 17 minutes in total.
